The third-tallest tower in the Netherlands, nicknamed Lange Jan (Long John), is 98 meters tall. A church was once attached to the tower, but after an explosion in the gunpowder laboratory inside, the ruin was demolished in 1806. The tower's location marks the cadastral zero point of the Netherlands.
