Background Petit&Jolie
Hi! My name is Esther and I founded Petit&Jolie in 2012. After years of working in the food industry, I quit my job and founded Petit&Jolie.
My children were 3 and 1 year old at the time. Parenthood changed me. It shifted my priorities. I became more focused on the present and the future. Because that future, that future, belongs to my children. Everything we do now affects that future. These days, we see plenty of examples of the impact human actions have on nature.
Of course, I could have contributed to a more sustainable lifestyle in various ways, but I chose to create 100% natural care products for babies and children. Why?
With the arrival of our children, we quickly realized that they really needed to unwind at the end of the day, process all the impressions, and only then could they sleep peacefully. To achieve that rest, taking time was crucial. Just a quiet bath, letting them tell their story in their own way, reading a book, perhaps a massage, and then off to bed.
I savored those moments. But I quickly realized that the products I wanted to use weren't readily available. As a result, I started developing them myself, in collaboration with a laboratory that also believed in my vision.
A vision to develop beautiful, skin-friendly, and natural care products for those moments of peace. For the very youngest, but especially for older children. Spending time and attention together. Relaxing. It's so good for us.
Petit&Jolie products are based on plant oils and extracts, preferably organically grown. The natural ingredients used are gentle on the skin and contain valuable properties. These properties vary depending on the oil, plant, or flower.
This means that Petit&Jolie products do not contain parabens, paraffin or PEG ingredients.
We also don't use synthetic fragrances, dyes, or preservatives. The fragrances in Petit&Jolie products are based on a blend of essential oils. Naturally, these oils are allergen-free.
All Petit&Jolie products are certified by the BDIH (Federal Association of Industrial and Trade Companies of the International Organic and Natural Cosmetics Corporation). The BDIH is an independent organization that monitors Petit&Jolie's products, ingredients, packaging, and production processes against their established standards for natural cosmetics.
Ultimately, the goal is to allow everyone to enjoy themselves carefree, even if it's just a few small moments. They're worth their weight in gold!
